Helichrysum odoratissimum Historical and Shamanic Use:

The smoke of Helichrysum odoratissimum is inhaled as part of local shamanic ritual or used as a ritual incense to drive away evil spirits. Imphepho has been used to treat numerous diseases that are often ascribed to the working of these aforementioned spirits. Namely: Coughs, Colds, Fever, Infections and Headaches.
